Festival Checklist

  • Ticket – Well there’s no a lot of point without one, is there?
  • Spending money – Don’t take too much – you don’t want to lose it
  • Tent – You’ve gotsta sleep somewhere
  • Sleeping bag – You don’t want to freeze
  • Clothes – Make sure you’re covered for both hot and cold weather – even if it’s forecast to be hot, it can get pretty cold at night
  • Sun block – Getting sunburn sucks
  • Toilet roll – I think you can probably guess
  • Baby wipes – Like having a wash at a festival – absolutely essential
  • Food – Stuff that won’t go off and is easy to cook; either tinned food or stuff like noodles. Take your own food, because festival prices are stupid
  • Stove – Most festivals no longer allow gas cannisters, so to be on the safe side, take a hexi burner
  • Mess tin – You can cook in it AND eat from it. Bonus!
  • Water bottle – All big festivals have water points where you can re-fill bottles. You don’t want to pay £2 for a bottle of water
  • Booze!

As a general rule – don’t take anything you can’t afford to lose. Tents aren’t the most secure of places, so don’t leave any valuables lying around for people to pinch. If you have an old mobile phone, take that instead of the one you usually use.
